Before you sign a contract or send a deposit, enter the ID number (IČO) or name of the company. You will see whether it is entered in the register, is not in liquidation or bankruptcy, has a valid VAT ID and published accounts, and whether the state and insurers list it among debtors. Free, no registration, and we do not store the company you search for.
The Financial Administration gives access to its lists only with an assigned key and an hourly limit on requests. So that the tool works for everyone, each visitor has 15 checks a day. You can run more 24 hours after your first check today.
If a supplier does not pay the VAT from your invoice, the tax office may demand it from you. It is enough that you knew or could have known about the problem, or that you paid into an account the supplier had not published (Section 69(13) of the VAT Act). So look first at the published accounts and the list of companies with grounds for VAT registration cancellation.
A company in liquidation or bankruptcy will generally neither return a deposit nor deliver goods. You can then only file the money as a claim with the liquidator or trustee and wait to see how much of it is left. Both the start of liquidation and the declaration of bankruptcy are public, you only have to look.
The Financial Administration publishes companies with arrears over 170 €, the Social Insurance Agency from as little as 5 € and health insurers from 100 € if the company is at least three months late. A company that cannot pay its taxes and contributions will hardly pay an invoice due in 60 days.
We query the Register of Legal Entities, the register of insolvent debtors and the European VIES system at the moment you search. The Financial Administration lists are updated daily, the list of tax debtors once a month. The Social Insurance Agency updates its list of debtors four times a month and VšZP once a month, which is why each check shows the date of the list. Dôvera and Union do not make their lists available for automated processing, so the result includes a link to their search.
The Financial Administration gives access to its lists only with an assigned key and an hourly limit on requests. So that the tool is not used up by bots and works for everyone, each visitor has 15 checks per 24 hours. Searching by name does not count towards them.
That the Financial Administration has found serious infringements, for example a repeatedly unfiled return or unpaid tax. This does not automatically mean liability for its VAT, but if you keep trading with such a company, it will be hard to claim that you did not know about the risk.
The Financial Administration publishes the list of tax debtors without ID numbers, only with a name and address. We therefore look for the company in it by the exact name from the Commercial Register and also verify the postcode of its registered office. If the company has changed its name in the meantime, it may be on the list under the old one.
No. We do not store the ID number you searched for or the result. You can print the report or save it as a PDF, with the date and time of the check, if you want a record that you checked the partner.
It is an extract from public lists at the stated time. It does not replace an extract from the Commercial Register or an assessment by an accountant. For a larger deal, also look at the partner's financial statements.
The check is indicative and is based on public lists as at the time of the search. It does not replace an assessment of your specific situation by an accountant or tax adviser. The data comes from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (Register of Legal Entities), the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic (register of insolvent debtors), the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic (open data), the European Commission (VIES), the Social Insurance Agency (Sociálna poisťovňa) and the General Health Insurance Company (VšZP).
We process the conversation and the data you enter in line with our privacy policy. We send the chat transcript to the accountant and, once you confirm your address, to you as well.
