Tax return and financial statements

We prepare the tax return, file it electronically, and submit the financial statements to the Register of Financial Statements. You get the resulting tax amount and the account number – and you find out well in advance, not in the last week.

Which tax returns we prepare

We can prepare the tax return even if someone else did your bookkeeping during the year – or if you kept the books yourself. For this we need the documents for the whole year and the last financial statements.

Financial statements

The tax return and the financial statements are two different things with two different recipients. The tax return goes to the tax office, the financial statements go to the Register of Financial Statements, where they are publicly accessible – banks, suppliers and competitors all look at them. That is why it is worth making sure they reflect how the company actually operates.

What we will prepare

  • Stocktaking and reconciliation of account balances
  • Closing operations, provisions and impairments
  • Balance sheet and profit and loss statement
  • Notes to the financial statements
  • Filing the financial statements with the Register of Financial Statements
  • Basis for the decision on profit distribution

What we need from you

  • Documents that have not yet gone through the app
  • Cash and inventory balance as of the last day of the year
  • Contracts that carry over into the next year
  • Information about unpaid invoices and their status
  • The statutory representative's signature on filings
We prepare the financial statements on an ongoing basis, not in March. For clients whose bookkeeping we handle throughout the year, the balances are kept in order continuously – the financial statements are then just the finishing touch, not a rescue operation.

Deadlines and extensions

The income tax return is filed within three months after the end of the tax period – for a calendar year, that means by the end of March. The tax is also due within the same deadline, which is often overlooked.

When an extension is worth it

The filing can be postponed by notifying the tax office – by three months, and by up to six if you also have foreign income. An extension makes sense when you are waiting for documents from abroad, when the financial statements are more complex, or when you need to postpone the tax due date. We will file the notification on your behalf.

When it is not worth it

When you are expecting a refund – an extension only postpones getting it back. And when the extension is just a way of putting off dealing with the bookkeeping for three more months: the documents will not get any better in the meantime, and missing documents get harder to track down.

We will remind you of the deadline ourselves. You do not need to keep track of when everything is due – we will get in touch well in advance and tell you exactly what we still need from you.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about tax returns

Will you prepare my tax return even if I am not your client?

Yes, as a one-off. We need the documents for the whole year and the last financial statements. For a company, we will also request the accounting data from the previous accountant – without it, we would have to book the whole year again from scratch, which is considerably more expensive. Prices for one-off tax returns are in the price list.

When will I find out how much I will be paying?

You see the preliminary tax figure throughout the year in the client zone – not only after the financial statements are done. We will tell you the final amount as soon as the tax return is prepared, together with the account number, variable symbol and due date.

My company had no activity all year. Do I need to file anything?

A company registered in the Commercial Register files a tax return even if it had no income, and likewise files financial statements. So a dormant company is not a company without obligations – it just has fewer of them. We handle it for a lower price than for a regular company.

I discovered a mistake after filing. What now?

A mistake is corrected with a supplementary tax return. If you report it yourself before the tax office finds it, it tends to be considerably cheaper. We will prepare the correction and calculate the difference; exactly when it needs to be filed depends on when you discovered the mistake.

I received a request or an audit notice from the tax office.

Get in touch with us as soon as it arrives in your electronic mailbox – response deadlines tend to be short. We will prepare the documents, respond on your behalf, and can represent you during an audit. The scope of such work cannot be set in advance, which is why it is listed in the price list as individual.

Do you file the tax return electronically on our behalf?

Yes. Based on a power of attorney, we file tax returns and financial statements electronically under our own access. You do not need an ID card with a chip or a login for the Financial Administration portal; you will receive confirmation of the filing.

We will take care of the filing

Tell us which tax return it is and for which year. We will tell you exactly what we need, by when we can complete it, and how much it will cost.
